Almost 3 months, No Updates
I have been reluctant to return to posting on this site due to the fact that I was careless in the creation of this blog. I originally wanted it to be a kind of rant blog where I could just be a regular fat kid ranting about fat kid things.
However I decided I could pretty much use this name for any subject I wanted to, so I took a shot at blogging about blogging, social networking, etc and while it was fun and I really liked writing those types of articles, I didn’t want to be just another blog trying to break into the niche.
With that said, this blog will (over the next few weeks) be transformed into my original vision of it. I will rant about all sorts of topics that interest me, but I will not post daily until more time frees up and I see some good traffic.
I’m proud to say this blog got a PR4, which was a shock to me at first. Many pages within also received PR2s and PR3s which is cool.
Thanks to everyone who visited and read my articles. I’ll post some links to my upcoming projects soon which I’m sure a lot of you will like.
This Proves My Point About Digg

Yesterday, I was talking to Israel or as you may know him, “Fat Man Unleashed“. We were discussing various blog related things and he mentioned how he really wanted another front page on Digg. If you caught his first one back in mid-November, it shouldn’t surprise you based upon the title and the issue at hand.
Now, Israel and I have become pretty good online buddies since he first contacted me less than a month ago about me being and I quote “the Cow to his Chow”. Since he’s a nice guy and needs all the support since he does have $28,000 in medical expenses. In light of wanting to get some extra exposure, I came up with a completely random article that I knew many diggers would get a hoot out of.
However, is that all it takes? The right random article at the right time of day? I explained in my previous Digg-related article about “The Digg Effect”, that any article can become popular on Digg. However, with the recent changes Digg has made to its algorithm, it may take more than a catchy title and a few “power diggs” to get it to the front page.
6 Reasons this article got front page on Digg
- 1. A semi “power user” with loads of fans and a 30% popular ratio submitted it.
- 2. It has a catchy title.
- 3. It makes a controversial statement in the first sentence that gets people talking.
- 4. It was shouted to many, many people.
- 5. Other power users promoted the story.
- 6. Many diggers are fat and can relate to the topic
What does this mean if you want to get on the front page of Digg?
- 1. You need a catchy title.
- 2. You may need a digger with authority to submit it.
- 3. You need to get the word out by shouting to various other diggers.
- 4. You may need supportive friends to shout and help gain more diggs.
- 5. You must relate to your fellow diggers.
